I just did a Linux+Win98 install, and need for Win98 to see a
partition that it does not currently see. I realize that this isn't
technically a Linux question, but probably several people here dual-boot
Linux and windoze, so please forgive me.
/dev/hda1 is the main win98 partition (C:). I see it fine from win and
Linux.
All of my other partitions are in an extended partition. One of them
(hda8), I have marked as FAT32 (letter 'b' in Linux fdisk), and have
formatted with mkfs.msdos. Win98 can't see it. Running the fdisk that
came with Win98, I see two partitions--the primary called c: or /dev/hda1,
and one it calls 'dos extended'. It notes that there might be logical
partitions inside this, but reports that there are none.
Does anyone know what I need to do? I don't have enough room for
Starcraft Broodwar on C:, and that's the only reason Win98 is on my
system.
BTW, this address expires at the end of the month, so if you respond
directly, and not in the next couple of days, respond to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Better to let everyone know anyway by responding
to the list.
Thank you,
