OK, so I just got a riva tnt card as part of an eBay auction.
Has anyone else had any experience with one of these? Since it is
supported through the XF86_SVGA x server, which defaults to 256 colors and
the card is capable of storing a huge virtual screen at that color depth,
I get a really, really, really large X11 desktop. Like, roughly
equivalent to a 3x3 matrix of my physical 17" screen. While this has some
novelty value, I'd really like the server resolution and color depth to be
something more reasonable like 1280x1024x32bpp. I tried cycling
resolutions with Ctrl-Alt-+ but no dice. I also tried applying the patch
from nvidia but again no luck...
I really appreciate any advice y'all might have.

(Would forcing it to run in 32bpp work, like startx --bpp32 or however
