I ran the 2.2.5 box for a month (fo0lishly) without
rigorously testing to make sure the overclocking wasn't
making small errors. When I rebooted the other day,
it booted fully (and can boot into Windows fine) but
when I got to the login prompt, it won't accept my
root pwd or my user pwd. I'm thinking it's because
the pwd data is corrupted from overclocking--dual celeron
366 -> 550, bus at 100mhz (which doesn't cause any probs
for the HD bus, because this is standard).

Any suggestions on what to do to recover my pwds and
login, and steps to take to detect data corruption and
also to diagnose how fast I can safely overclock are
requested.
thanks,
Chris Johnson
