If you are in Austin, you can get a crisp, flat Trinitron 21" monitor from
Dell Factory Outlet for ~$600. This is a bit more expensive than $329, but
it's a Trinitron! I have one, and 4 of my friends have them too. =)

If I recall correctly, they may have 20" Trinitrons in stock for ~$500.

I agree with Justin on the Abit BP6. Mine is clocked at 524, yielding a
cool (sub 100F) 1048MHz. This computer cost well under $1000 excluding
monitor. Just stay away from the Ultra/66 DMA controller.

Microchip computers usually has a good deal on parts. Its my current
favorite store in Austin, but get your BP6 GlobalWin FEP32 cooling stacks
and memory from www.memman.com. 

I've had a good experience with the Diamond Viper V770 TNT2, too.
