Hello Brendon,
If it's like my Airboard, I'm not sure that it is possible. As far as I
can tell, the Airboard does not actually send any characters when the
extra keys are pressed, but interacts in some other way with the Airboard
driver.
To see if any characters are being transmitted, try the command "od -",
then hit the keys, and exit with ctrl-D. If it is like the Airboard, you
will receive absolutely nothing...
