well, I just got a used ditto 2G tape drive. I recompiled the kernel with
ftape support. loaded the ftape driver as module...but how do I test to
see if it's seeing it. since /proc/devices did not show me anything about
tape. also, the ftape that comes with 2.2 kernel is 3.v3.04d, and I would
like to use the 4.02. so I downloaded the ftape source, try to compile it.
but I am getting some errors:
fdc-io.c: In function `fdc_interrupt_wait':
fdc-io.c:433: structure has no member named `timeout'
I do have the kernel source that I used to compile my kernel installed.
so..another stupid question...anyone has a ditto drive and knows how to
reject the tape....thanks
