combo card in nic-speak means it has both the coax and rj-45
cable sockets.  the remote i believe is meant to work with probably
a 3com transmitter tower for wireless networking.

i'd check out the 3com site with those model numbers to be sure,
they probably have pictures and specs.

    it would have been nifty if they also had http://www.3.com,
    but i guess the cost associated is just too high for a small company
    like 3com...=)
