I'm running 'ntpdate tick.usno.navy.mil; clock -w' - has always worked in
the past and works great on these two machines to bring the clocks back up
to the correct date.
Problem is that both machines worked fine before running 2.2.14 - no Y2K
issues or battery trouble. On a soft-restart from *Linux*, the clock is
reset... battery shouldn't be an issue here because power was never cut.
Rebooting the box *before* Linux boots - ie: at the HDD detect screen - does
not impact the clock, leading me to believe this is a problem with the kernel.
Any other ideas?
TIA
