i am afraid that didn't do it. not that i am terribly disappointed
though. the real disappointment came when i first realized i had
broken my 54 days of uptime (not bad for a machine without a ups) with
the power failure.
there is actually a ups under my desk. i think i will see if it
works... rebooting again :)
thanks for the suggestion though. maybe one day if our company ever
goes through an IPO i won't feel guilty about asking for a blazer that
won't have this problem, will run X nicely with 4 netscapes, 15 ssh
sessions and a make -j 64 in the background.
