Here's the scoop from SWBT on their DSL:

Usually they charge $200 for the equipment (it's yours, not leased like RR
modems), $200 for the installation, $40/month for the circuit and

$10/month for 1 dynamic IP at the 1.5M/384k speed
$40/month for 5 static IPs at the 1.5M/384k speed
$40/month for 1 dynamic IP at the 6M/1.5M speed (unsure about this)

Up until now they've been throwing in the installation for free.

>From now until April 30th they are offering to waive both the installation
*and* the equipment charge (the modem & nic are yours to keep). A circuit
and 1 dynamic IP are combined into one $40/month price if you agree to a
year's service. In essence a very very good deal if you only need one
dynamic IP and aren't going to move.

All my office mates with SWB DSL have not had any complaints about service
since they figured out their routers. If RR pisses me off one more time
between now and then I'll be jumping ship. I just hope SWB doesn't start
overselling like TW/RR.

Cheers,
Robert K.

P.S. - I do not work for SWB, even though it may seem that way :)
