Hi there,

My system is runing WinNT4.0, and I got another hard disk (Mastor 13G),
which I plan to install Linux on. The old hard disk is 4G. The 4G disk is
set to be the master, the 13G disk is set to be the slave.

I had in hand a Debian 2.0 CD, which I have succesfully installed on a 8G
machine which was originally partitioned by win98.

Now I got the following problem, when I start Linux installation and go
partition the hard disk, it can recognize the original 4G disk as primary
partition. While it says "fdisk failed on recognizing primary partition"
on the 13G disk. So I stuck here.

It might be of the following reasons:
1. the NTFS partition cause the problem
2. 13G is too big for Debian 2.0.
3. ...

Moreover, when I show the partition table, it can show the 2 partitions as
NTFS, and another "DOS extended" partition. I am confused.

If you have any experience or knowledge, please help.

I found Debian good enough for use, I don't really want to buy a redhat.

Thanks,

-Jiang
