server ntp.cc.utexas.edu
server ntp2.cs.utexas.edu
server ntp3.cs.utexas.edu
server ntp4.cs.utexas.edu

You should check into xntpd.  It runs as a daemon and maintains your
time settings by using several servers and adjusting for network latency.
