I was going to send you the link tom sent you. Another thing: even if you
do EVERYTHING else as root, do not do socket programming in Perl as root
unless you REALLY don't think you'll mess up. (esp if you plan on leaving
the server Perl program up.) You can also do man perlipc which shows the
same thing as that link.
