is anybody familiar with services like freelane, net zero, etc which offer
"free" net access?  i think they only allow analog modem dial up (like 56K
max).  do they support linux?  could they be "made" to support it?

also, i've been hearing reports that with freelane, all sites whose IPs
start out 129.x.x.x are inaccessible from freelane (excite's service).  any
suggestions?
