I have a new 3com 3c905 ethernet card (which replaced a bad old one) that
will not auto-neg with the 10/100 hub at 100mbit. It will only auto-neg
at 10mbit (assuming it is auto-negotiating at all...). We recently got
new cable as well. I thought maybe we accidentally picked up cat4 or
lower cable, but it is definitely cat5. The hub has never had problems
negotiating at 100mbit. I was wondering if anyone knew of any 3com
bootable utilities to turn on or off the auto-negotiating features of the
card (i.e. - maybe the card is hard set to use 10mbit). I looked all over
3com's site and found no such utilities. Any suggestions are appreciated.
