Hi,
I just purchased a copy of SuSE Linux 7.1 Professional and most of the installation was okay until the config for the video card. I tried the installation 4 times, but when I tried to test the video card each time (with known resolutions and lower resolutions) the screen just went blank. There was once, were it worked okay, and the x server started after a reboot, but the second time round, it would load Linux and the screen would go dead at the start of the x server.
I have an ATI Radeon 64 MB video card. I appreciate all your help in getting this OS running. P.s. I am a newbie, so if there is anything that I have to "fiddle" with, I will need very specific instructions.
