My favorites are the 3Com 905's (original, 905B, or 905C).  Some of them
have a socket for a boot ROM while others have one with PXE already on the
card.  Work seems to like Intel EtherExpress Pro 100's.  Again, some of
these have sockets and some have PXE-enabled boot ROMs already.  Both
cards were in the $40 to $70 range last time I checked prices.
