I'm running 2.2.19pre11 (Debian) with a SBLive value and the creative
driver that I found linked from http://sblive.how.to/ (from
opensource.creative.com). I simply followed the directions and made the
emu10k from CVS back in December. Everything seems to work just fine,
sound is great. I don't have treble/bass adjustment (except through
XMMS' graphic equalizer). No pops, no problems. I'd guess either you
got a bad CVS version (things break in CVS) or possibly the 2.4.x kernel
support isn't too hot. Maybe try a couple of the mailing lists hosted
by creative and look around in their bugzilla (maybe file your own bug).
