ok, so i am running debian unstable, and it had
been a while since my last apt-get upgrade. I did this, and everything
goes fine except xserver-vga (it was version 3.x trying to be replaced with 4.x
i think).
the error it gives is that there is no config file
on line 37 of /usr/share/perl5/Debconf/Db.pm
so you try removing it and it says the package is
in a very inconsitent state, and should be reinstalled before being
removed. you try reinstalling and find yourself going in
circles.
i cant install it, cant configure it, cant remove
it, cant purge it, etc, even with --force-xxxx.
anyone have any idea how to solve this?
