I get to put in my 2 cents, again.
WRT running swervers on RR, if you are an avid logger, you will notice
scans from security.austin.rr.com (or s/security/$WORD/). They will also
check for open relays if you run an SMTP daemon and, if it is open, they
will email you with instructions as to how to fix it. I believe they even
have a little web page enumerating just what it is they check.

They seem to be clued (FSVO), so they must not be the people that run
their mail/news/DNS servers.
IOW, yes, the contract frowns upon running any servers, but they are aware
that people run servers and don't seem to mind.
