I have tried all possible combinations of these three cards.
Well, I think the problem *might* be that this is a Compaq. The
motherboard was new when PCI was just coming out and has only one PCI
slot, so maybe the PCI slot doesn't work sometimes?
But I have a hard time believing that even Compaq would screw up that
badly.
It's just that the only reason that makes sense is that the TCP layer in
OpenBSD is broken somewhere. But I doubt that is the problem. But if not,
then the TCP layer should take care of the unreliability (because it is
not 100% unreliable, just unreliable under stress.)
I was trying to avoid having to buy a new computer. Oh well.
