You need to include more information before we can help you.
Here's some things that will help:
1. model name and _chipset_ of card
2. what version of X you are running (and what vendor,
like XFree86, Xig, MetroLink, etc.)
3. what distribution and version of that distro you are using
Unless the card is _really_ wacked out, it should work in standard
VGA mode[1], so you may be able to get it up at least to that extent
by using the appropriate config tool to set up X as such (the name of the
tool(s) you can use depends on what X11 version/vendor and distro you're
using, but for example with XFree86 4.0.x there is "xf86config" and with
XFree86 3.3.x there was/is XF86Setup (GUI) and the CLI one whose name I
can't recall (Xconfigurator?)).
[1] 640x480 with 16 colors IIRC
Making a lot of assumptions about what you're running and whatnot, if the
card is an nVidia chip (the v770) it should work fine. I'm less certain
about the other chipsets that a "diamond 32meg agp" could have. But
again, need more info.
