Today at 8:24pm, McManus.ko69 expounded: ++ I have an OLD OLD laptop, and I managed to get Slackware up and running, ++ but I can't get my PCMCIA Netgear FA410 nic to work. I know it uses ++ tulip drivers, but performing a 'modprobe tulip' or a 'insmod tulip' ++ doesn't work. I am getting errors involving incorrect parameters. Does ++ anyone know how to get it working, or what the proper parameters are ++ (and how to pass them, I can't seem to get syntax right). Please help. ++ Oh yeah, I was going to just try compiling it into the kernel, but I ++ don't have enough HD space for kernel source code!! =/ Thanks!!
What are the exact errors? Which parameters? Do you have PCMCIA support? (i.e. is cardmgr running?) The cardmgr program should take care of this for you. You shouldn't insmod or modprobe a driverfor a PCMCIA device. Do you have the PCMCIA package installed? (In RedHat, it's called kernel-pcmcia-cs .) -Paul -- Vitamin C deficiency is apauling. _______________________________________________ Siglinux mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.utacm.org/mailman/listinfo/siglinux
