Today at 1:00am, McManus.ko69 expounded: ++ Umm... MX record? How do I set that up? I don't really know what ++ you're talking about, I've been getting emails from the list for a long ++ time but never actually responded to it before until now. Help. =(
It looks like the siglinux host (utacm.org) uses Postfix. I think the previous one (locutus.csres...) used sendmail. I use qmail. mail.utexas.edu uses qmail. It may be that sendmail and Postfix use the A (regular) record if there is no MX record and qmail doesn't. But qmail is still following the RFC 822 standard. Can anyone else (who uses qmail) try to send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (If you use mail.utexas.edu for smtp, that is worth trying as well, since it uses qmail (at least for receiving).) I don't know how to setup an MX record. DNS is one area about which I still don't know too much. -Paul -- In case of injury notify your superior immediately.
