Thanks again for all the suggestions - monitor is working great now. Two
focus adjustments and a screen brightness control (that didn't seem to do
anything when I turned it, hrmm).

On to the second monitor :) My bro has a 17" MAG (shadow mask tube) that
constantly becomes green tinted, or green tinted with a slight red shadow
effect on icons, etc. Seems to happen pretty randomly (and just happened
to me when I switched resolutions on it). He usually gives it a good
wallop and it starts working again. Ghe-tttto monitor.

I'm guessing one of the color guns is flaking out and it would be cheaper
for him to simply purchase a new monitor since this isn't a "DIY" repair,
but I'd be interested to see if anyone else on the group has done this and
can give me an idea of how much a TV repair place would charge to fix it.

Thanks again.

Robert Giles
