My 1460 does fine with a 4x Yamaha (4/2/16, IIRC). It gets pretty
flaky, read non-working, on a 16x write. :)
If your laptop has a removable CD drive, you'll probably get off
cheaper just buying a factory CD-RW for it. Unless you need a reader
and a writer simultaneously, that is.
