I am having problems installing my network printer using CUPS and SAMBA. I
have gone to the CUPS web admin page and I've gone to the KDE based Kups via
the command line with 'kups &' typed in.

I am able to have it go through and detect the printer and what not, but I
seem to have found that Linux does not support my HP DeskJet 722C printer.
I have a separate Win2k machine that I have my printer hooked up to. I have
tried to just install my printer via the network but since I do not see my
printer listed under the available model numbers I do not know what to do.
I've been to www.linuxprinting.org and searched around there and it was
mentioning about running a PPD perl script or something like that but I'm
just extremely confused as to what to do to get everything running smoothly
and install this printer so I can print via Linux.

If anyone has had experience in dealing with this particular printer or
another printer that isn't directly supported I guess, please share what you
learned.

Thanks a lot.

John Tucker
