-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Mandrake 9.1 comes with default orinoco_pci drivers for the integrated 802.11b card in my laptop. For the last day I've been trying to install new drivers (linux-wlan-ng prism2_pci), but cannot seem to get Mandrake to drop the old ones and accept the new ones. I compiled and did 'make install' on the new drivers, which I'm assuming threw the binaries somewhere in the kernel's source tree, but I am unsure what I need to do next.
I already replaced the orinoco_pci line in /etc/modules.conf, and added the neccessary modprobe prism2_pci in my /etc/rc.d/rc.local. Then I reboot, make a wish, whatever, and harddrake still says that the Wireless card is using the orinoco_pci modules... has anyone had the same problem or at least know how I can fix this? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE++4SniPD+MyZz/X0RAsGHAJ9agAT3z76aK9FTY8rhAJDd0Utu9gCePxco FCCLTE9bbzh/gRS4X65jYsk= =QcJV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Siglinux mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.utacm.org/mailman/listinfo/siglinux
