this wednesday in place of our regular meeting i'll be leading a 1.5 hour, hands-on, crash-coure on linux.
among other things we'll cover: users/groups basic commands editing files the filesystem the kernel installation basics X windows system cool applications
the kicker is that we'll provide everyone with a laptop to use to run linux and demo the stuff i'm talking about.
