Apparently, if you type a few letters in a word, then run hippie-expand, it will expand the word to the full word based upon what you've already written in the buffer.

So if you use the word "proclamation" a lot in a buffer, you can type just "proc" then run hippie-expand, etc.

Kind of cool. There is probably something similar for programming I am not aware of that parses header files and so on.
