What is the right way to config the "at" daemon and the "xfs" font server to run as users other then their respective default system users? What is the right config file I need to edit? Also, the default installation of my Mandrake has a lot of users. Apart from root and my humble self, there are a whole bunch of system users. The ps tree only shows the "root" "me-user" "daemon" and "xfs" users as having active processes, but what about the others? Are they needed for anything else? During shutdown or startup, perhaps? I want to get rid of all the users that are unnecessary. The users are listed below adm me root daemon halt rpm shutdown vcsa xfs Thanks for your attention.
