The forum(http://www.utacm.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=6) and the mailing list(http://www.utacm.org/mailman/listinfo/siglinux) are now the same. When someone posts to the mailing list, the message is posted to the forum and vice versa.
If you only want a forum account, then you can unsubscribe from the mailing list. If you can't stand forums, then you never have to look there again. For those who may want to add this feature to their own sites, I used mail2forum(http://www.mail2forum.com/).
