Hello all, As you know, we had an organizer's meeting today. Here's some of the main points.
NEW EMAIL LIST-- We have created siglinux-dev at utacm.org. This is designed to help us stay in touch better. In a way, it is like the forums, but for those of us don't have time to be constantly checking them. Also, it's a compromise with those who don't want reply-to on the regular list, so that we can have our own list to encourage discussion. If you think it's ideal, suggest better ideas. Until then, join siglinux-dev to be involved. http://machito.utacm.org/mailman/listinfo/siglinux-dev (you don't have to be subscribed to post yet) LUNCH WITH SIGLINUX-- Every Wednesday at 12:15 or so, we will have a informal lunch meeting in the Union courtyard to discuss whatever we please, and make an opportunity for those who want to hear more about GNU/Linux to meet us and ask questions in an informal setting. We will begin next week, but we will not advertise it until after we have details down. Come if you can. INSTALLFEST 18 SEPTEMBER-- This is more of a routine by now. However, we (I?) am going to try to get advance preparation (mainly CD burning) a little more coordinated. Up to now, we haven't been getting enough CDs by the beginning. So if you want to bring CDs, send a message to siglinux-dev (best), or start a thread on the forum, saying how many CDs you would want to bring, what types, and when you will have them by. I will check the ACM office and bug people if I don't see them by Wednesday or so-- Saturday is NOT good enough! -- Richard Darst - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - lefschetz: up 7 days, 13:11 "If e-mail is to be official, it should be signed!"
