Uwe,Thanks for your reply. Yes, that was it, the Fluke 45 driver. Although I am familiar with several programming languages, at the time I was a newbie when it came to using git, and regrading the proper protocol for contributing to O/S projects, so I may have omitted some step or done something incorrectly, but I am quite happy to receive feedback. With the kind help of developers from the sigrok project I was able to complete the driver, and it worked on my meter here. However, as mentioned at the time, although I kept GPIB in mind, I could only test the serial comms as my meter does not have a GPIB interface. It may be that there are other aspects that need attention. If so, then I would also appreciate feedback.
