Thank you for digging this up. That answer was very helpful in
understanding the nature and the cause of the issue. Still it's
interesting why some messages are affected while others aren't.
Could not spot a pattern yet.

Guess the use of mailman is appropriate, though its configuration
may need checking and potential adjustment. Can't tell if mailman
is "weird by default" to give warm fuzzies to unaware people with
incapable mail clients. Or whether the default configuration is
sane yet got dumbed down "on popular demand".

That added tag in the subject line is another thing that was
introduced for those who suffer from an incapable mail client,
don't know that all the information is there, and need not get
injected into some other sender owned header field which should
not get manipulated by tranfer agents. :(

Perfectly demonstrates how slippery a slope it is to weaken tools
for everybody instead of helping new users to use these tools
properly.
