I think you write your messages like everyone is familiar with your tool set. It was a JAVA error that only happened once. Perhaps I should have screen captured it, but I didn't keep it around while I went to your website, created an account on Launchpad, and entered this ticket. I have no idea about what Sikuli does and doesn't expect at startup or what folders it accesses etc.. Initially I thought the problem might have been with another security app. that is installed.
Per "Forget the executables .skl.": What I want to be able to do is automate some GUI tasks for a group of users who have very basic computer skills, so I definitely would not want them to even see the IDE. I want to have icons on their desktop that they can click on to launch a GUI task. I would think that automation for business users would by far be the most sought use of sikuli. Really, is Sikuli for end users, IT users, IT users supporting end users or what??? Is it a utility fit for consumption or is it just a research project??? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Sikuli Drivers, which is subscribed to Sikuli. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/882183 Title: Application closes unexpectedly as soon as I select "exists" or "find".
