This is what I do not understand:
It is a match object which is calculated using an offset from an image.
A match object in the standard is the result of a search and is not
"calculated".
So show me, what you are doing there currently.
A match object in fact is a Region object too, since it is a subclass
of Region class.
So in your case the question is:
Is area a rectangle or a point.
For each case, there are different possibilities to calculate a region.
