The Gateway Summit is an informal two-day event held at the Plug and
Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, CA (about 45 minutes south of San
Francisco).

Tuesday, October 21 is Company Pitch Day, in which 10-15 early stage
Australian companies will take the stage and pitch their companies to
a Silicon Valley audience of top-level execs, entrepreneurs and
investors. In the afternoon, these companies join up to 25 other start-
ups from around the world in an International EXPO 2-minute pitch
competition. Tim Draper, Founder and a Managing Director of Draper
Fisher Jurvetson (http://www.dfj.com/team/TimDraper.shtml) will be the
keynote speaker.

Wednesday, October 22 is Business Forum Day. The ANZA business forums
cover everything about starting up a company in the US -- legal
issues, marketing, CEO challenges and VC/angel investment.

Both days include lunch and evening drinks and nibbles -- and provide
optimum networking opportunities.
