Hi everyone, I've got another favour to ask. I've been doing a bunch of work around Customer Development<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Gary_Blank#Customer_Development>, and I'm keen to buy some coffees/lunches/beers to test my hypothesis with what I think is our target market for something new and exciting we're working on.
Specifically, I'm hoping to talk to current or recent managers (preferably the CEO or an experienced studio/division manager) of businesses with between 5 and 100 staff in either the Consulting or Creative spaces in Sydney or Melbourne. We're focused on solving the pain/hassle/guesswork/effort associated with managing a team of professional service staff who's predominant economic model is billable hours for external clients (fixed price or T&M doesn't matter), and I'd really like to talk to people who live or have recently lived the challenges of managing a business/studio/team in this area. Our target market (at this stage) is professional services businesses in these broad sectors, and I'd be looking to have a 30 minute chat (no sales pitch, at all. I promise. This is all about listening and seeing whether my hypothesis is valid). Some examples of the types of businesses: * Graphic Design * Web Design * Advertising and/or Marketing Consultancies * Management Consultancies * Public Relations * .. and probably a few other professional service variants I haven't thought of) I'm in Sydney most of the time, but I'll be in Melbourne for a couple of days late next week; given the quality of the creative work from down that way, I'd love to meet some of the industry's leading lights.
