During a BizSpark Startup Weekend Event, teams attend an intensive Deep Dive
technical sessions on the Thursday and Friday. For this event there are 2
technical themes, the first is based on Microsoft's Cloud platform, Windows
Azure, being run by Microsoft Developer Evangelist Andrew Coates. The
second learning is based around Microsoft's Phone platform - Phone 7,
presented by Phone 7 Guru Nick Randolph from Built to Roam. After receiving
the 2 days of training, at 9am Saturday morning the teams kick off
development on their project ideas. Across the weekend, each of the teams
had the additional help & support of technical specialists for both .Net
development, Phone 7, Silverlight & Windows Azure.

The weekend component of the event is all about building something that
you'd like to take to market. Attendees can work by themselves or in teams
of up to 3 people. At the end of the weekend, present your work to the
judging panel of experts & investors to receive feedback & prizes that
include Windows Phone 7 handsets & xBox Kinect packages and having your
application and company being featured in PR editorials.

Throughout the weekend, the BizSpark partners had the opportunity to:

. Learn and apply new skills to help grow their skillset & business
opportunities;

. Learn from experts in Law, Business and Government on topics such
as how to develop a marketing and PR plan, producing sales results and how
to Raise Capital for an Early Stage startup. Presenters include Alex Pirouz
founder of founder of RIDC Advisory plus Jack Delosa, Executive Director of
The Entourage.

.         Develop important business relationships;

. Meet the Microsoft technical experts, marketing team and network
with other Microsoft BizSpark partners.

Previous attendee Enrique Albert-Gleiser Snr Solutions Architect/Developer
had this to say after attending the last event we ran in Perth: "The boot
camp is one of the best training experiences I have participated in so far,
very well organised and fab people. Microsoft and the team deserve a 10
(over 10) for the event, I really recommend other developers to join the
next camp event, they won't regret it."

Catherine Eibner, Developer Evangelist and BizSpark owner for Microsoft
Australia, said: "These weekends are far more than an opportunity to learn
a new technology. It allows participants to understand how integrating
across the entire Microsoft stack can allow you to build rich new
experiences for your customers.

"The quality of the applications I see built in less than 2 days is a
testament to the Microsoft tools, the power of the integrated platform as
well as the help of the fantastic technical experts we have on hand across
the weekend."

Microsoft is committed to helping entrepreneurs to transform their ambitions
into sustainable, dynamic businesses and to foster innovation and
entrepreneurialism. To this end, the BizSpark Program provides Startups with
software, support and visibility at a time when they are most valuable and
least affordable-during their first three years, with no upfront costs and
minimal requirements.

"We understand the difficulties startups face in trying to create a viable,
scalable and sustainable business, especially in today's economy. "Says
Catherine Eibner of Microsoft Australia. "Microsoft BizSpark provides
startups with a unique opportunity to grow their business by taking
advantage of the breadth of the Microsoft platform, our global partner
ecosystem and new ways to gain market exposure."

BizSpark gives Startups fast and easy access to Microsoft's current
full-featured development tools, platform technologies as well as production
licenses to bring to market innovative and interoperable solutions for the
next generation of user experiences.

To be eligible for the Microsoft BizSpark Program, Startups must be actively
engaged in development of a software-based product or service that is a core
piece of their business model, have been in business less than three years,
and have less than USD$1M in revenue.

So if you have any interest in finding out more about the Cloud offerings
and its ultimate potential to fast track business growth - you need to
