I get occasionally pitched to promote someones startup on the silicon beach website. Today I met with an Aussie founder who has a great product and I'm going to see how we can leverage it to further build the community. Which got me thinking: why not do more of this? Rather than slowly build up this community resource (ie, what we did with http://siliconbeachaustralia.org/jobs/), why not tap into proprietary cutting edge tech that show cases the nation?
In other words: If you are building technology, by allowing us to use it, it builds up the value of the community platform that is Silicon Beach while at the same time giving you additional exposure for what you are building.
