Google has acquired Bump - a super-popular sharing app for iOS and Android<http://www.shellypalmer.com/tag/android/>. The announcement was made today on the company's official blog.<http://blog.bu.mp/post/61411611006/bump-google> Bump, founded in 2008, lets users share information by bumping phones together. http://www.shellypalmer.com/2013/09/breaking-google-buys-bump/
Anyone know why? eg does BUMP have any patent applications? As we know the S4 uses similar sharing "identification pairing" so wonder if there was any licensing involved to enable this feature?
