Hey Beachers, I just wanted to say a quick hi (hope you've all been well!) and introduce Susan Wu to the group.
If you haven't met her yet, Susan has been an investor/advisor to the likes of Twitter, Square, Obvious Corporation (Medium) and she recently relocated to Australia to lead Stripe's <http://stripe.com> activities here. (Melbourne-based but in Sydney very often.) You may have read about their recent $80M funding announcement on TechCrunch<http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/22/with-an-eye-to-international-growth-payments-company-stripe-raises-80m-from-peter-thiel-khosla-and-sequoia-at-a-1-25b-valuation/>last week – there's also been plenty of payments-related threads on here before. If you're not familiar with the service, Stripe is the easiest way to accept payments on web or mobile apps. They're now in private beta in Australia (ping Susan <su...@stripe.com> if you'd like an invite) and will be launching broadly in Australia over the next couple of months.
