Hi Everyone, I've developed an MVP for a course on Technical Pre-sales designed for those of us with a technical oriented background involved in selling / pitching products to customers. The transition from developing to selling tech is hard for many (inc. me) and the core of the course is to build suitable skills and attitude.
There are a couple of places open in the trial run next Wed morning which is a 3 hour "expurgated" version. Details below. Please contact me directly if you are interested in a place next week. Amongst those already booked are a couple of really experienced sales engineers so a great chance to work with and learn from them. Cheers, Andrew Hunt 0411 486 870 [email protected] *Sales Engineering / Technical Pre-Sales (for Techs)* 9am-12pm Wed 17th December Fifth Quadrant Boardroom Northpoint, Level 11, 100 Miller Street, North Sydney Cost: FREE - it's a trial Booking required Contact: [email protected] Often people with a solid technical background find themselves supporting or driving sales: selling products, projects, concept or even a business. But your technical training does always not equip you well for sales. Sales requires a complementary set of skills and can benefit from adapting your style and even your attitude. This session covers some principles, jargon, myths, and techniques to develop your outlook and contribution as a Sales Engineer. It is oriented towards people with a technical background who have zero or up to a few years of technical sales experience. About the Presenter Andrew Hunt has 25 years experience in diverse roles in the software industry. Starting out as a programmer he has taken on R&D Management and CTO roles working in Australia, USA and Japan. Along the way he has been a Sales Engineer involved in countless sales with values to over $10M. He also been a CFO, product manager, raised capital, written internet standards, filed patents, presented at conferences world-wide, run many technical courses and cleaned the office fridge. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Silicon Beach Australia mailing list.
