I built one too, also with just a single hand, but then scrapped it and it's now sitting on my desk as a build/testing status indicator instead. Unfortunately, I too am strapped for time, by virtue of being the sole breadwinner. My use of angel funds would primarily be to pay myself to work four days a week instead of five, but I imagine I'd get a fair bit done in that one day.
Given that we're both in Melbourne, why don't we meet for a coffee/beer/... sometime to discuss? We have a few friends in common too - I work with your mate Cory at both Planet Innovation and another pre-revenue startup, Cubescape, for which I've written the bulk of the software to interconnect hardware and electronics within an escape room scenario.
