Live-streaming is a natural extension of the YouTube model of user-contributed content. Yes some will be "professionals" in being quasi-journalists, quasi-talkshow host, but many will just use it to promote themselves and their field of interest. Don't underestimate the pre-marriage market .... when I was in Shanghai you had parents touting their kids prospects with signs in the park. Technology allows more "direct" marketing ... of course fake news and imitation goods are also going to be prevalent (is that a Chinese thing). China always takes the same technology but applies surprising twists to them (cf Alibaba v Ebay, Xiaomi v Apple, QQ v sms, etc)
