I would be interested in some sources for the figure "a few millennia"
As Charles already said, the "few millennia" figure is itself
unlikely. Here [1] is an interesting account of the history of zero.
By the way, I am trying to recall to whom I lent my copy of _Zero:
The Biography of a Dangerous Idea_ by Charles Seife [2]. Does
anybody here have it?
