Hello everyone. I'm trying to reach out to Audible India because I'm translating a Telugu story I first heard on Audible and wanted to know who the narrator was.
Unfortunately, I just spoke with the author and she was confounded to learn that her story was on Audible - isn't that illegal if her work is recorded by she isn't compensated? Interestingly, she is acknowledged as the writer. How can Amazon acquire rights without her permission? She knows that Story Tel and American Library Congress (ALC) have audio versions but she didn't know that Amazon does. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. I will not credit Audible because of this situation but I am concerned about what seems like theft. Best. Radhika -- *Translator/Owner* *AzulIndica Translations* *North Vancouver BC, Canada*
