Getting email from your own SMTP server accepted at the large email providers like gmail, outlook and yahoo involves jumping through hoops constructed of alphabet soup such as DMARC, DKIM, SPF, VERP, ARC, SNDS, etc. And even when all of those items are ticked off, your IP still has to build reputation. Which takes months, during which your email may or may not get delivered. It sounds like your use case(s) have let you escape some of this pain. Which is good (until it isn't). Speaking for myself, I am now at the point where I'd rather pay someone to make sure things Just Work. YMMV. Udhay
