Our experience for voluteering for the Tiger Census in January, in Kabini, Karnataka, was excellent. We decided not to stay in the accomodation being offered, though, and stayed at Kapila (there were a lot of youngsters vying for the Forest Guest House accomodation.)
So I would recommend this.
